The writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the Sub‑Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders.

Summary

The petitioner, Hareram Ram, filed a writ petition in the Patna High Court seeking relief against the State of Bihar and several officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department. The petitioner had previously made a representation to the Sub‑Divisional Officer on 8 April 2025, relying on an earlier order dated 24 May 2022 issued by the Block Supply Officer. The Court, without examining the merits, disposed of the petition at the admission stage with the consent of both parties. It directed the Sub‑Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner’s representation and to pass appropriate orders within eight weeks, after giving the petitioner a hearing. The Court further ordered that any order be communicated to the parties and then formally closed the writ petition.
