The Court directed the petitioner to file a fresh representation within four weeks and ordered the corporation to consider it and pass necessary orders within four weeks of receipt.
Summary
Anuradha Devi filed a writ petition seeking a court direction for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to consider her representation dated 02‑09‑2025 requesting an extension of time to provide an alternative site. The petitioners alleged that HPCL had not acted on the representation and sought a timeframe for consideration. HPCL contended that the representation lacked acknowledgment of receipt and no postal receipt was produced, urging the petitioner to file a fresh representation. The Court, without delving into merits, disposed of the petition at the admission stage, granting the petitioner liberty to submit a suitable fresh representation within four weeks and directing HPCL to consider it and pass orders within four weeks of receipt. The petition was thus disposed with the stipulated directions.
