Holding

The court held that the petitioner must first file the requisite application with the required fee at the Board's Regional Office in Munger before the Board can issue the original Intermediate Certificate.

Summary

Sanju Kumari filed a writ petition seeking correction of the school name on her 1992 Matriculation Examination Certificate and the issuance of her original Intermediate Certificate. The Bihar School Examination Board had already corrected the school name as per its letter dated 15-12-2025, which the petitioner acknowledged. However, the Board refused to issue the original Intermediate Certificate, stating that the petitioner had not filed an application with the required fee at the Regional Office in Munger. The court directed the petitioner to file the appropriate application with the fee within two weeks and ordered the Board to issue the original certificate within four weeks of receiving the application. The writ petition was consequently disposed of.
