Holding
The court disposed of the writ petition, directing the petitioner to approach the Collector for redress.
Summary
The petitioner, Daya Shankar Prasad Sinha, filed a writ petition seeking correction of a jamabandi that erroneously records his land as exceeding 66 decimal, despite a mutation cancellation order dated 18‑01‑2012 and a subsequent order on 07‑12‑2012. He alleges that the authorities have not complied with these orders, resulting in an incorrect entry in the government records and online portal. The petitioner was advised to approach the Collector, Patna, for redress, while the State counsel indicated that a properly filed petition with supporting annexures would be considered. The court, after hearing both sides, disposed of the writ petition, directing the petitioner to pursue the matter through the appropriate administrative channel. No substantive judicial direction to correct the jamabandi was issued.
