The Court directed the Vice‑Chancellor of Veer Kunwar Singh University to dispose of the petitioner’s pending representation within four months and to issue a reasoned order, with any granted relief to be implemented within two months thereafter.
Summary
The petitioner, Ranjit Kumar, an electrician employed by Veer Kunwar Singh University since 2004, sought regularisation of his service, payment of arrears and reliefs based on earlier syndicate decisions and a 2024 judgment. He had filed a representation before the Vice‑Chancellor on 19‑12‑2024 which remained pending. The petitioner prayed for a writ directing the Vice‑Chancellor to dispose of the representation within a fixed period. The respondents (the State and the University) raised no objection. The Court, noting the limited prayer, ordered the Vice‑Chancellor to decide the pending representation within four months of receipt of the order, to give a reasoned decision, and if relief is warranted, to implement it within a further two months. The writ application was consequently disposed of.
