The writ petition is disposed of upon the Court's permission to withdraw it, without adjudicating the merits of the termination and blacklisting order.

Summary

Million Minds Infotech Private Limited filed a writ petition challenging the termination of its contract and permanent blacklisting by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC), alleging violation of natural justice. The petition sought quashing of the termination order, a stay of the same, release of pending payments, and other reliefs. Respondents argued that the matter was already under consideration by the BSRTC administrator and that the petitioner could withdraw the writ and pursue the representation. The petitioner’s counsel requested permission to withdraw the writ application. The Court granted permission to withdraw and disposed of the writ petition without addressing the substantive merits. The order leaves open the possibility for the petitioner to challenge any adverse decision in the future.

Issues considered

  • Whether the termination and blacklisting order issued by BSRTC can be quashed on grounds of violation of natural justice.
  • Whether the writ petition may be withdrawn by the petitioner upon the Court's permission.

Subjects

  • writ petition
  • termination of contract
  • blacklisting
