The Additional Collector, Sitamarhi is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11-12-2025 within three months.
Summary
Meena Devi filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the Additional Collector, Sitamarhi to consider a 2024 letter and a 2025 representation concerning the cancellation of Jamabandi No. 1466 for Khesra No. 584, and to correct revenue records. The petitioner alleged that the District Collector had referred the matter to the Additional Collector but no action was taken. The State had no objection to the reliefs. The High Court examined whether the Additional Collector could be compelled to act on the pending representation. It held that the Additional Collector must dispose of the representation within three months of receiving the order. Consequently, the writ application was disposed with the direction to the Additional Collector.
