The petition was disposed of at the admission stage, directing the competent authority to consider the representation and correct the E‑POSS entry if warranted.
Summary
Petitioner Virendra Prasad filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the State authorities to correct an erroneous entry of 350.49 quintals of food grains in the E‑POSS machine for March 2022, which he alleges was never physically delivered under the Pradhanmantri Khadyana Yojna. The petition was admitted and, with the consent of both parties, the Court disposed of it at the admission stage. The Court noted that the petitioner had already submitted a representation (Annexure P/4) and directed Respondent No.4, the Sub‑Divisional Officer, to consider that representation and, if the claim is found to be true, to correct the E‑POSS entry within eight weeks. The authority is required to communicate any decision to the petitioner. The writ petition was thereby disposed of.
