The court granted the petitioners liberty to file a detailed representation before the Registrar and set timelines for consideration and order.

Summary

The petitioners, a group of individuals from Darbhanga, filed a writ petition seeking permission to submit a detailed representation before the Registrar of L.N. Mithila University regarding a grievance. The petition was listed under ‘Orders on Office Notes’ but had a verification defect. The court, after hearing counsel for both sides, noted the limited nature of the grievance and granted the petitioners liberty to file their representation within four weeks. It directed the Registrar to consider the representation and issue a reasoned order within twelve weeks, and to pass any consequential order if the petitioners’ claim is upheld. The writ petition was therefore disposed with these procedural directions.
