The court held that the petitioners may pursue representation before the Circle Officer, who must dispose of the application within six weeks.

Summary

Petitioners Nepali Sah and his son Akhilesh Gupta filed a writ petition seeking the State of Bihar and its revenue officials to order the disposal of an online application (ID No. 263215483899804 dated 08‑01‑2026) for correction of incorrect entries in the digitized Jamabandi register concerning 7.91 acres of land in Mauza‑Barkamore. They also requested that the authorities follow the guidelines issued for such corrections. The High Court disposed of the petition, granting the petitioners liberty to approach the Circle Officer (Respondent No. 7) and directing that any representation filed before him be disposed of within six weeks. No substantive direction was given to the other respondents. The order effectively placed the matter back with the administrative officer for prompt action.
