Holding

The writ petition is disposed of, permitting its withdrawal and granting the petitioner liberty to challenge Letter No. 731 before the appropriate authority.

Summary

Ranjana Nandan Tanti filed a writ petition seeking the quashing of a 30‑December‑2023 order of the Divisional Commissioner, Munger, which affirmed a 17‑November‑2017 order of the District Magistrate, Jamui, and also demanded appointment to a 25% reserved Anganwadi Supervisor post under a 2010 advertisement. The petitioner later argued that a Letter No. 731 dated 24‑February‑2012 issued by the Director, ICDS, created a problem and requested permission to withdraw the writ petition while retaining the right to challenge the letter before the appropriate authority. The State had no objection to the withdrawal. The Court disposed of the writ application, allowing the petitioner to withdraw it and granting liberty to contest the said letter before the proper forum.

Issues considered
