Holding

The order dated 30‑06‑2026 is modified to read Respondent No. 6 as Respondent No. 4.

Summary

M/s R.P. Company filed a civil writ petition against the Union of India and several officials of the East Central Railway. The High Court had earlier issued directions to Respondent No. 6 to consider the petitioner’s reply dated 09‑06‑2026. However, the order dated 30‑06‑2026 mistakenly referred to Respondent No. 6 instead of Respondent No. 4 (Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Samastipur Division). The Court corrected this clerical error, directing that Respondent No. 6 be read as Respondent No. 4, and modified the earlier order accordingly. No substantive merits of the petition were decided; the relief was limited to correcting the respondent’s identification.

Issues considered

  • Whether the order dated 30‑06‑2026 should be corrected to identify the proper respondent.

Subjects

  • civil writ jurisdiction
  • clerical correction
  • railway law
  • Union of India
  • procedural order
