The court disposed the writ petition, granting the petitioner liberty to approach the appropriate revenue authority for redressal.

Summary

Petitioner Rajaram Kumar filed a writ petition seeking correction of the Land Parcel Map (LMP) and land records of his ancestral property, alleging that the survey officer had prepared the LMP in a misleading manner. He requested the court to direct the respondents, who are various revenue officials of the State of Bihar, to enter the correct plot details and prepare a lawful LMP reflecting the true partition and possession. The petitioner also sought protection of his property rights and any other relief the court deemed appropriate. Counsel for the petitioner argued that the grievance should be redressed by approaching the appropriate revenue authority or a competent court. The bench, after hearing the arguments, granted the petitioner liberty to approach the relevant revenue authority for redressal. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed without any substantive order directing correction of the records.
