Summary

Aditya Kumar filed a civil writ petition in the Patna High Court challenging actions of the State of Bihar and several officials, presumably related to the Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System. The Court, without examining the merits, noted that the petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy under Section 32(vi) of the Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016. Accordingly, the petition was disposed of at the admission stage, with the Court directing the petitioner to file a revision before the Divisional Commissioner within four weeks. The Divisional Commissioner was instructed to hear all parties, pass orders within four weeks, and communicate the decision within eight weeks. The writ petition was thus dismissed, pending the exercise of the alternative remedy.
