The Court held that the order under contempt had been complied with, and therefore the application was disposed of.

Summary

Jay Kumar filed an application before the Patna High Court alleging that the Union of India and several postal officials had failed to comply with an order dated 02‑08‑2016 issued by a coordinate bench in CWJC No.17429 of 2015. The respondents filed a show‑cause response stating that they had fully complied with the court’s observations and directions, and that a final punishment order had been issued by the competent authority. The Court examined the show‑cause statement and found that the required compliance had indeed been effected. Consequently, the Court held that no further order was necessary in the present matter. The application was therefore disposed of, with a direction that any aggrieved party could approach the appropriate forum for further relief.
