Holding

The contempt petition was disposed of, and no contempt proceedings were initiated.

Summary

Petitioner Priyanka Kumari filed a contempt petition against the State of Bihar and several officials, alleging willful disobedience of a High Court order dated 09‑12‑2019 in CWJC No.22348 of 2019. The petition sought initiation of contempt proceedings. The court noted that after the High Court’s order and submission of an enquiry report, a committee held an ‘Aam Sabha’ and selected Pramila Devi on 22‑02‑2021. The court granted the petitioner liberty to raise any further grievance but ultimately disposed of the contempt petition without ordering contempt proceedings. The matter was therefore closed pending any fresh agitations by the petitioner.
