The court may extend the time for filing representation where the petitioner demonstrates sufficient cause beyond her control.

Summary

Guddi Kumari, the petitioner, filed an application seeking a two‑week extension of time to file her representation and appear before the court, as she was unable to do so within the stipulated period due to her father's serious illness and treatment at SGPGI, Lucknow. The petitioner’s counsel argued that the circumstances were beyond her control. The court examined the justification presented and, finding sufficient cause, allowed the modification application. Consequently, the court extended the deadline by two weeks from the date of the order. The original order dated 03‑11‑2025 was thereby modified to accommodate the petitioner’s request.
