Holding

The contempt petition was dismissed as the order dated 27-11-2018 had been complied with.

Summary

Petitioner Urmila Singh filed a contempt petition before the Patna High Court challenging the State of Bihar and several education officials for allegedly not complying with an earlier order dated 27 November 2018 in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No.6705 of 2015. The petitioner’s counsel argued that the order had already been complied with by the opposite parties. The court examined the claim of compliance and, finding no merit in continuing the contempt proceedings, dismissed the contempt petition. No further directions were issued. The dismissal effectively closed the contempt matter.

Issues considered
