Holding

The contempt petition was disposed of without initiating contempt proceedings.

Summary

Three assistant teachers filed a contempt petition against the State of Bihar and officials of the Bihar Sanskrit Shiksha Board, alleging willful disobedience of a court order dated 08‑02‑2019 in CWJC No. 16563 of 2017. The respondents filed a show‑cause memorandum and the Board rejected the petitioners' claim in memo No. 1626 dated 28‑06‑2022. The High Court, after hearing, granted the petitioners liberty to raise any further grievance but ultimately disposed of the contempt petition without ordering any contempt proceedings. No substantive findings on the alleged disobedience were made, and the matter was left open for the petitioners to approach the court again if needed.
