Patna High Court

Upendra SinghversusThe State of Bihar through its Sri B. Rajendra, The Principal Secretary,

Decided
Disposal
DISPOSED

Holding

The Court granted the petitioner liberty to agitate any subsisting grievance and disposed of the petition.

Summary

Upendra Singh, a suspended Panchayat Secretary, filed a civil writ petition challenging actions of the State of Bihar and several district officials. The petitioner sought liberty to pursue any remaining grievance after the Court's earlier order dated 15-04-2024 was substantially complied with. The learned counsel argued that despite compliance, the petitioner should be allowed to approach appropriate legal remedies for any residual issues. The Court observed that the earlier order had indeed been largely complied with but nonetheless granted the petitioner liberty to agitate any subsisting grievance. Consequently, the petition was disposed of, with the liberty to approach other remedies expressly permitted.
