The petition is disposed as the amount ordered has been transferred, and no contempt proceeding is warranted.

Summary

The petitioner, Pramod Pandit, filed a writ petition seeking a contempt proceeding against the State of Bihar and officials of the Bihar School Examination Board for allegedly failing to comply with a judgment dated 27‑04‑2017 in CWJC No.1299 of 2009. The petitioner claimed that the respondents had not paid the amount ordered by the earlier judgment. The Board submitted a letter (No. 737 dated 06‑08‑2024) indicating that the sum of Rs 30,22,251 had been transferred to the petitioner’s account. The court noted this payment and recorded it for the record. Consequently, the court disposed of the petition, granting the petitioner liberty to approach the court again if any balance remained unpaid, and did not order any contempt proceedings.
