Summary

Petitioner Dilip Kumar Yadav and Ramji Kumar Yadav filed a contempt petition before the Patna High Court seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the State of Bihar and officials of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission for alleged willful disobedience of an earlier order dated 7 January 2013 in CWJC No. 17242 of 2012. The petition was argued by counsel Mallika Mazumdar for the petitioners and by Mr. Ankit for the BSSC, with State counsel also appearing. The Court examined whether the respondents had indeed willfully defied the 2013 order and found that no contempt could be established. Consequently, the Court granted the petitioners liberty to raise any remaining grievance but disposed of the contempt petition. The petition was therefore dismissed without any contempt finding.
