The court granted the petitioner liberty to challenge the order dated 24 September 2025 and disposed of the contempt petition.

Summary

Pankaj Kumar filed a contempt petition before the Patna High Court against several officials of the Bihar Education Department, seeking to enforce an earlier order dated 22 April 2019 (CWJC No. 22717 of 2018). The District Education Officer, Patna, had issued a reasoned order on 24 September 2025 in compliance with that earlier judgment. The petitioner requested liberty to challenge the 24 September 2025 order. The learned counsel for the respondents highlighted the compliance with the court's prior direction. The bench, after hearing counsel, granted the petitioner liberty to contest the order and consequently disposed of the contempt petition. No further substantive adjudication on the merits of the challenged order was made.
