Holding

The contempt petition is disposed of, with liberty granted to file an interlocutory application for its revival if the related writ petition is dismissed.

Summary

Anurag Kumar filed a contempt petition against the State of Bihar and several officials. The petitioner argued that the encroacher had filed a separate writ petition (CWJC No.17917 of 2024) which, on 27.11.2024, was ordered to maintain the status quo. The petitioner sought dismissal of the contempt petition and requested liberty to file an interlocutory application to revive it if the writ petition is later dismissed. The Court granted the liberty to file such an application and disposed of the contempt petition. The order was delivered by Justice Mohit Kumar Shah on 24-04-2026.
