Holding

The Court granted liberty to the petitioner to challenge the Collector’s order and disposed of the petition.

Summary

The petitioner, Ramesh Paswan, filed a writ petition challenging the order dated 07.01.2025 passed by the Collector of West Champaran, which was issued in response to the High Court’s earlier order of 17.05.2019 in CWJC No. 4465 of 2019. The opposite parties contended that the Collector’s order complied with the Court’s direction. The petitioner’s counsel sought liberty to contest the Collector’s order through any appropriate legal remedy. The Court granted the requested liberty, allowing the petitioner to challenge the order, and consequently disposed of the petition. The petition was therefore dismissed without further adjudication on the merits.
