The Court held that the order passed by the Writ Court has been complied with and therefore the petition is disposed.
Summary
Amar Nath Gupta filed a petition in the Patna High Court seeking relief against the State of Bihar and university officials for alleged willful non‑compliance of an order dated 03‑04‑2018 issued by the Civil Writ Jurisdiction Court in case No. 19524 of 2016. The petitioner claimed that despite the earlier order, the respondents had not effected his appointment as directed. The State counsel argued that the matter was referred to the pay verification cell of the Education Department, which subsequently issued a fresh entitlement slip on 23‑01‑2019, treating the appointment as effective from 03‑08‑1985, thereby complying with the writ order. The Court examined the record and was satisfied that the writ court's order had been duly complied with. Consequently, the Court held that there was no further grievance that could be entertained, though the petitioner could pursue any remaining issues through appropriate legal channels. The petition was therefore disposed of with the observation that the earlier order stands complied.
