Holding

The petition for contempt is dismissed as the opposite parties have complied with the earlier order by making the required payment.

Summary

The petitioner, Smt. Krishna Jha, filed a petition seeking contempt proceedings against several government officials for allegedly failing to comply with an order dated 06/05/2025 in a prior writ case (C.W.J.C No.16580 of 2017). The earlier order required the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities, who were to decide the matter within six months. The opposite parties submitted a show‑cause response indicating that the District Land Acquisition Officer had decided the case and that a payment of Rs.21,45,864 was handed over to the petitioner on 16‑01‑2026. The court examined whether the payment satisfied the earlier order and whether any contempt could be established. Finding that the payment had been made and the order complied with, the court held that any remaining grievance could be pursued in an appropriate forum. Consequently, the petition for contempt was disposed of.
