Permission to withdraw the petition was granted, and the petition was dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioner, Sanjay Kumar Sukla, filed a Miscellaneous Jurisdiction (MJC) petition seeking relief against the State of Bihar and senior police officials. During the pendency of this petition, the order dated 22‑12‑2023 in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No.3411 of 2020 was complied with by the petitioner. Consequently, the petitioner’s counsel applied to the court for permission to withdraw the pending MJC petition. The learned counsel for the opposite parties opposed the withdrawal. The Hon’ble Justice Dr. Anshuman considered whether the court could grant permission to withdraw a petition that had become moot. The court granted the petitioner's request, allowing the withdrawal. Accordingly, the MJC petition was dismissed as withdrawn.
