Summary

Petitioner Smt. Nutan filed an application seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against officials of the Bihar Animal and Fisheries Resources Department for allegedly willfully disobeying the High Court's order dated 04‑08‑2025. The respondents, through their General Pool Officer, informed the Court that the departmental proceeding had been concluded, the petitioner was censured, and a notification (Memo No. 238 dated 04‑06‑2025) was placed on record. The respondents further stated that the petitioner’s suspension had been revoked with immediate effect. After considering these submissions, the Court found no basis to continue the contempt proceeding and ordered the matter closed. The petitioner was advised that she could pursue any other appropriate remedy if aggrieved by the disciplinary authority's order.
