Patna High Court

Sunil KumarversusThe State of Bihar through Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
DISPOSED

Holding

The contempt application is dismissed as the respondents have complied with the earlier writ court order.

Summary

Petitioner Sunil Kumar filed a contempt application challenging the State of Bihar and other officials for allegedly not complying with the Patna High Court's order dated 22 July 2022 in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No. 9819 of 2022, which directed the respondents to dispose of his representation in accordance with law. The petitioner argued that the order had already been complied with, rendering the contempt application unnecessary. The Court examined the submissions and found that the respondents had indeed complied with the earlier direction. Consequently, the Court held that no further order was required in the contempt proceeding. The contempt application was therefore disposed of, and any pending applications, if any, were also ordered to stand disposed.
