Holding

The contempt application is dismissed and the matter is disposed of.

Summary

The petitioner Mahesh Kumar Sharma filed a contempt application seeking to hold State officials in contempt for allegedly refusing to comply with the Patna High Court’s order dated 19 June 2024 in CWJC No.2986. The respondents, including the Circle Officer, submitted a show‑cause notice asserting that the proceeding had been closed after measurement. The Court examined whether the respondents’ conduct constituted willful disobedience of its earlier order. It noted that the petitioner could approach the appropriate forum if dissatisfied but found no basis to proceed with contempt. Accordingly, the Court disposed of the contempt application without granting any relief.
