Summary

The petitioner, Rabindra Prasad Sinha, filed a contempt petition seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against several respondents for allegedly willfully disobeying the High Court order dated 23 June 2014 in CWJC No. 7159 of 2008. The State counsel referred to a memo dated 16 May 2018 indicating that the Director of Secondary Education, Bihar, had issued a reasoned order and requested the counterpart authority in Dumka, Jharkhand, to comply with the court's directive. The Court examined whether any willful disobedience persisted and considered the petitioner's grievance. The Court granted the petitioner liberty to raise any further grievance if it still existed. Ultimately, the Court disposed of the contempt petition, effectively ending the contempt proceedings.
