The Court granted the petitioner liberty to challenge the university order and disposed of the contempt petition.

Summary

Dr. Amiya Kumar filed a contempt petition seeking liberty to challenge an order dated 30‑April‑2026 issued by the Vice‑Chancellor of Magadh University, which was issued in compliance with a prior judgment of this Court dated 10‑Oct‑2018 in CWJC No.10135 of 2018. The petitioner argued that the order adversely affected his rights as a lecturer and that he should be allowed to contest it through due process of law. The learned counsel for the petitioner requested that the Court grant such liberty. The Court examined whether the petitioner could be permitted to challenge the university order and whether the contempt petition should continue. The Court granted the requested liberty, allowing the petitioner to pursue the challenge. Consequently, the contempt petition was disposed of.
