Holding

The court held that the respondents had complied with the earlier order and no contempt had occurred.

Summary

Petitioner Rambilash Singh filed an application seeking contempt proceedings against the State of Bihar and officials of L.N. Mithila University, alleging willful violation of a prior order dated 07‑10‑2020 in CWJC No.16930 of 2019. The University counsel produced a registrar’s order dated 06‑02‑2023 showing that the petitioner had been paid full gratuity, earned leave and pension arrears up to 31‑05‑2022, and that all his claims were settled. The court observed that any remaining grievance could be raised afresh through appropriate proceedings. Consequently, the court found no basis for contempt and dismissed the application. The matter was ordered disposed.
