Sunita KumariversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
DISPOSED

Holding

The petition is disposed of as there is no ground for contempt after the respondents' compliance with the earlier order.

Summary

Sunita Kumari filed a contempt petition before the Patna High Court challenging the State of Bihar and its officials for alleged non‑compliance with an earlier order dated 18‑02‑2022 in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No. 9716 of 2021. The State, through counsel, submitted that the order had been fully complied with and referenced statements in paragraphs 11 and 15 of the show‑cause notice filed by the respondents. The Court examined these submissions and found no basis to continue the contempt proceedings. Consequently, the Court disposed of the miscellaneous jurisdiction petition, noting that the petitioner retains the right to approach another appropriate forum if any grievance remains. The order emphasizes that the disposal does not prejudice the petitioner’s legal rights.
