The contempt petition is disposed of, with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the court again if any grievance remains.

Summary

Petitioner Lalan Kumar Jha filed a contempt petition seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the State of Bihar and its officials for allegedly willfully disobeying an order dated 17‑02‑2020 in CWJC No. 1284 of 2020. The opposite parties filed a show‑cause notice, and the State counsel submitted a memo dated 08‑04‑2022 indicating that the Joint Director, Consolidation had rejected the petitioner's claim. The Patna High Court, after hearing the parties, granted the petitioner liberty to raise any further grievance if it still existed, and consequently disposed of the contempt petition. The court did not order any contempt proceedings and left the matter open for the petitioner to approach the court again if needed.
