The writ application is disposed of as withdrawn because the petitioner’s grievance has been fully redressed.
Summary
Dr. Sunita Roy filed a civil writ petition challenging her appointment at a college under Patliputra University. While the petition was pending, the university issued Memo No. R/PPU/931/26 on 30.05.2026 appointing her as the regular Principal of the College of Commerce, Arts and Science, Patna. The petitioner’s counsel submitted that this development fully redressed her grievance and that there was no longer any purpose in continuing the writ proceedings. The State and the university agreed that there was no objection to the withdrawal. Accordingly, Justice Alok Kumar Sinha ordered the writ application to be disposed of as withdrawn. The court also noted that a related contempt application was likewise disposed of for the same reason.
