High Court of Gujarat

PRAKASHBHAI DALABHAI RANVAversusSTATE OF GUJARAT

Disposal
28-REJECTED @ ADM.STAGE

Holding

The court held that, having already been granted parole for the same reason, the petitioner is not entitled to further parole leave and the application is rejected.

Summary

The petitioner, Prakashbhai Dalabhai Ranva, applied to the Gujarat High Court for parole leave. The court examined the jail records and noted that the petitioner had already been granted parole for the same reason for a period of seven days. Considering the prior parole, the court found no justification to exercise its discretion in favour of a second parole for the same ground. Consequently, the application was rejected. The order was delivered by Justice Utkarsh Thakorbhai Desai on 19 January 2026.

                                              Date : 19/01/2026

                                                 ORAL ORDER

The Applicant has filed this Application for grant of parole
leave on the ground mentioned in the application.

On perusing the jail remarks, it appears that the applicant
was previously released on parole leave for a period of 07 days
for the same reason which has been mentioned in the application.
Hence, as of now, it does not deem fit to this Court to exercise
the discretion in favour of the applicant. The Application is
rejected.
