SUMIT SANJAY GODBOLEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA

Disposal
DISMISSED

Holding

The revision application is dismissed as withdrawn, and the lower court is directed to proceed with the matter in accordance with law.

Summary

The applicant, Sumit Sanjay Godbole, filed a criminal revision application (No. 8545 of 2026) before the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench, challenging a decision of the lower court in a criminal matter against the State of Maharashtra. During the hearing, the applicant's counsel sought a pass‑over to take instructions and subsequently requested permission to withdraw the revision. The Court, noting the withdrawal, dismissed both the criminal application and the revision application without providing detailed reasons. The dismissal was recorded as a withdrawal, and the Court expressly directed that the lower court should continue to hear the matter without being influenced by this dismissal. No substantive merits of the revision were addressed.
