Summary

Gopinath R. Ambhure filed an anticipatory bail application. The informant and the State pointed out that the applicant had not disclosed his criminal antecedents. The applicant contended that the non‑disclosure was not deliberate and requested to withdraw the application, seeking permission to file a fresh one within two weeks. The Court examined the submissions and found no merit in proceeding with the present application. Consequently, the anticipatory bail application was dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty granted to the applicant to file a fresh application within the stipulated period.

  • Whether the applicant may withdraw the anticipatory bail application and be permitted to file a fresh application.
