Holding

The High Court allowed the withdrawal of the anticipatory bail application and disposed of it as withdrawn, granting liberty to approach the Sessions Court.

Summary

The applicant, Taher Hussain Abdul Rahman Mewati, filed an anticipatory bail application (No. 253 of 2026) before the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench. The application had previously been rejected, and the applicant sought to withdraw the current application and instead approach the Sessions Court for relief. The learned counsel for the applicant requested permission to withdraw, citing the earlier rejection. The Court, after hearing, granted permission to withdraw the anticipatory bail application and ordered it to be disposed of as withdrawn, while allowing the applicant liberty to approach the Sessions Court. No substantive merits of the bail claim were addressed as the application was withdrawn.
