The applications were allowed to be withdrawn with liberty to file fresh bail applications, and interim protection in specified applications was continued until the first hearing.
Summary
The High Court considered several anticipatory bail applications filed by various applicants against the State of Maharashtra. During the pendency of these applications, a charge‑sheet was filed, prompting the applicants to seek permission to withdraw the pending applications and file fresh bail applications before the Sessions Court. The court, after hearing counsel for the applicants, the respondent and the intervenor, allowed the withdrawal of the applications with liberty to file fresh applications. It also ordered that the interim protection granted in two of the applications (ABA No.250 of 2025 and ABA No.3101 of 2024) be continued until the first hearing of the fresh bail applications. The applicants were directed to file new bail applications within one week, and all pending applications were disposed of.
