The appeals are transferred to the Sessions Court having jurisdiction.
Summary
The appellant, Anandi Annasaheb Shinde, failed to appear before the Bombay High Court in criminal appeals No. 821/2014 and 820/2014. The State, through counsel Ms. Shubhangi N. Deshmukh, cited the Supreme Court’s decision in Celestium Financial v. A. Gnanasekaran (2025) to argue that the matters should be before a Sessions Court with appropriate jurisdiction. The High Court Judge, Ashwin D. Bhope, agreed and ordered the transfer of the proceedings to the competent Sessions Court, directing the registrar to effect the transfer and the Sessions Court to re‑register, notify parties, and expedite the case. The appeals were consequently disposed of, pending further hearing in the Sessions Court.

- Whether the Supreme Court precedent in Celestium Financial v. A. Gnanasekaran mandates such a transfer
