Summary
The appellant, Dnyandeep Co‑op Credit Society Ltd, filed a criminal appeal before the Bombay High Court. The appellant and the State counsel argued, relying on the Supreme Court decision in Celestium Financial v. A. Gnanasekaran (2025 SCC OnLine SC 1320), that the High Court lacked jurisdiction and the matter should be before the Sessions Court having jurisdiction. The Court agreed and ordered the transfer of the proceedings to the appropriate Sessions Court, directing the Registrar to effect the transfer and the Sessions Court to re‑register, issue notices, and expedite the case. The High Court disposed of Criminal Appeal No. 98 of 2015 and any interim applications. The order emphasizes procedural compliance and speedy disposal in the lower court.
