The Court granted permission to withdraw the criminal revision application, disposing of it as withdrawn.

Summary

The applicant, Shaikh Sajjad Shaikh Rais, filed a criminal revision application (CRIMINAL APPLICATION NO. 1382 of 2025) seeking to prosecute his wife. The parties subsequently reached a compromise in the Family Court, Parbhani, where the wife received a lump sum of Rs.5,50,000 and withdrew the family petition. The applicant then moved the High Court for permission to withdraw the criminal revision, stating he no longer wished to prosecute. The Court examined whether such withdrawal could be permitted under procedural law. It granted the request, disposing of the criminal revision application as withdrawn, and consequently dismissed the related condonation of delay application.
