YOGESH VALJI AHIRRAO AND OTHERSversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND ANOTHER

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition was held to be infructuous and was disposed of.

Summary

The petitioners filed a criminal writ petition challenging the FIR that led to prosecution and eventual acquittal of the accused. The respondents, represented by Mr. V. V. Jahagirdar, argued that the acquittal rendered the petition moot. The court observed that the order of acquittal dated 06-10-2023 had already concluded the criminal proceedings. Consequently, the court held that the petition could no longer be entertained. The petition was therefore disposed of as infructuous, and any pending applications were also dismissed.
