Holding

The Court held that the 140‑day delay was condonable and, having done so, ordered the matter to be referred to mediation.

Summary

The petitioners filed a criminal revision application (St.) No.8312/2026 after a delay of 140 days. They sought condonation of this delay. The Court examined whether such a delay could be excused under procedural law and allowed the condonation. Consequently, the pending criminal application was disposed of. The Court then issued notice to the respondents and, by mutual consent of the parties, ordered that the matrimonial dispute be referred to mediation. A mediator, Mr. S. R. Andhale, was appointed and the parties were directed to appear before him on 24‑09‑2026.
