The Court condoned the delay and allowed the criminal revision application to be registered.

Summary

The applicant, Vishal, filed a criminal application seeking condonation of a 1,007‑day delay in filing a criminal revision before the High Court. The delay pertained to a revision of a family court order dated 23 February 2015, which required the applicant to pay maintenance of Rs.2,500 per month to his wife, the respondent. The applicant’s counsel, Ms. Tanuja D. Dhage, appeared on behalf of the applicant and submitted that the maintenance payments had been made regularly. The Court examined the reasons for the delay and, finding no substantive prejudice, decided to condone the delay. Consequently, the revision application was allowed to be registered and a notice was issued to the respondent.
