The Court condoned the 20‑day delay in filing the revision application, subject to the applicant’s continued payment of the stipulated maintenance.

Summary

The applicant sought condonation of a 20‑day delay in filing a criminal revision against a Family Court order directing maintenance of Rs.3000 per month. The High Court had earlier stayed the order on condition that the applicant deposit the outstanding amount and continue paying Rs.3000 monthly. The applicant produced a receipt of payment, which the respondent contested, claiming no further maintenance was paid. The Court, subject to the applicant’s compliance with the maintenance payment, condoned the delay and allowed the revision application to be registered. Notice to the respondent was waived, and the matter was scheduled for final hearing on 6 October 2026.
