Temporary bail was granted for one month upon furnishing cash bail of Rs.25,000, with a condition that no further extension would be allowed.

Summary

The applicant, Suresh Mothebhau Patole, filed a criminal bail application seeking temporary release on the ground that his mother is suffering from kidney failure and requires his care. The State opposed the bail, arguing that the applicant might abscond or threaten prosecution witnesses if released. The Court examined medical documents confirming the mother's serious ailment. Balancing the humanitarian consideration against the risk to the trial, the Court allowed the temporary bail. The applicant was ordered to furnish a cash bail of Rs.25,000 and to surrender before the jail authority on 06/06/2026, with a restriction that no further extension of temporary bail would be permitted. The application was consequently disposed.
